I can't believe that I've been here for 5 years! That's pretty intense. I don't want to just mirror the many complaints of this site, but I have my own personal feelings on this place.

It's lonely. It's always felt lonely. I get a distinct feeling that when I submit art here it's just being thrown into a very polished, feature rich, clean looking... void. I feel kind of overcome with depression every time I look here, and it's more than just that feeling of being lost in a slew of millions of other artists.

Now we can't even critique without buying a subscription. Am I not supposed to give critiques without using this feature, or what? Really, I don't mind the idea of subscriptions, I know that websites of this magnitude take money to keep up. And I appreciate having thumbnails in my watch list now. There's just something more subversively depressing about this place.

I like sharing my art but this feeling is kind of getting to me. Maybe it's just the internet as a whole. Maybe...
